My name is Marie and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I have a daughter who is three, born after a difficult but ultimately amazing IVF process. I have a husband, a family that deserves sainthood, and some friends.
I love the few that have survived the parenthood process - and a few of the ones who haven’t. My old friends, I still love you, and one day we may again dance wildly to Buck’s Fizz wearing inappropriate headwear. We might, however, be in our sixties by that time.
My child, who I wiIl call the Squid, suffers enough embarrassment from a mother who often acts in unmother-like ways. This blog is another way to further that embarrassment.
